The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was developed and adopted as a ‘universal call to action’ with a specific obligation to leave no one behind.
SDG4 highlights quality education as a transformational force that enables people to reach their greatest potential and significantly contribute to society.
SDG4 advocates for inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes lifelong learning, thereby accentuating the need for producing inclusive,
resilient, and sustainable societies. This acknowledgment must be mirrored in every aspect of education.
In light of the unprecedented speed at which society is changing, technological advancements, and skill demand for the future, it is necessary to reinforce
education's role by provoking discussions on education for sustainable development in the higher education sector as we generate greater momentum in realizing SDG4.
Therefore, the theme for this year’s conference seeks to cut across the borders of research that solely focuses on the perceived processes relating to teaching,
learning, and assessment. Instead, it aims to highlight the often-overlooked factors that equally play a pivotal role, directly or indirectly,
toward realizing quality higher education, including transformation within institutions, student motivation, staff motivation, and staff development.
The conference will provide a platform for researchers, students, employees, employers, academics, academic developers, and other stakeholders to share their research,
best practices, and innovative approaches in exploring the role of universities in achieving the UN SDG4
